INDUCTIVE ALUMINIUM TAPE TRACKING

The inductive aluminium tape navigation system consists of aluminium tapes placed on the road that the vehicle will follow. This system is particularly preferred when the laser scanner is difficult to install reflectors in the enviranment. This navigation method is similar to magnetic tape navigation and because the tapes are on the ground, they are less sensitive to mechanical damage.

MAGNETIC TAPE TRACKING

Magnetic tape navigation also determines the direction of the vehicle using magnetic tapes on the ground. This navigation method is very similar to spot navigation and inductive tape navigation. The magnetic tape is sensitive to mechanical damage.

OPTICAL NAVIGATION

Either paint is applied or a coloured tape is placed on the floor. The AGV has a built-in sensor that allows it to detect the path. Some systems use an ultraviolet (UV) light to illuminate the strip. It is not typically used in plants or warehouses because the ground line should often be get dirty and should be maintained with very short intervals.

SPOT NAVIGATION

Either paint is applied or a coloured tape is placed on the floor. The AGV has a built-in sensor that allows it to detect the path. Some systems use an ultraviolet (UV) light to illuminate the strip. It is not typically used in plants or warehouses because the ground line should often be get dirty and should be maintained with very short intervals.

SPOT NAVIGATION

As in the Range navigation, the Spot navigation is the system that is placed on the ground to detect the position of the AGV where the vehicles proceed by counting certain points and gaps.

LASER NAVIGATION

Reflectors are placed on the route to which the vehicle will be transporting. A laser scanner is also used to detect reflectors on this route.
The vehicle constantly updates and provides navigation through the reflections that reflect the position of the vehicle.
